This is great. ICANN to end Registry-Registrar separation

Will we one day see VeriDaddy?

The ICANN Board of Directors has adopted a resolution, the limitations of the registers, the owner of the domain name registrars and vice versa relax.

While specifically for new top level domain names not surprised that extends, be to see existing top level domain names in over time.

This was a contentious issue which was negotiated in detail between all interested in new top level domain name. A working group by 3,000 e-Mails and long discussions went but came with no consensus to ICANN decided to make the call and step.

Both Go Daddy and Afilias had width cross ownership against worden.Afilias was to push cross ownership, but with some limitations because a number of equity in Afilias registrars have. Top level domain holdings and mind + machines was also hoping, restrictions for managed under.[Update: apparently M + M was in contrast to ownership Einschränkungen.TLDH's updates said however, typically "benefit TLDH separation between registrars and registries will continue to"]

The biggest losers in this new model are registers.Registrars have "already" customers during registration more difficult find it from scratch to enter the Registrar market.(Of course could your way in purchase.)

This is an example that I like to give: image limit a rule save grocery stores from the sale were brand while manufacturers are prohibited, from grocery stores to besitzen.Diese rules be changed so grocery stores to sell their own brands of memory and so who will win food manufacturers, their own grocery stores to open first? the grocery stores that can get quickly store brand product on shelves and they would have manufacturers to existing customers to verkaufen.Die from scratch to build shops and a customer base.

Don't be surprised if state antitrust groups check any important agreements between registries and registrars.
