Steven Apple is the general manager of JustDeals.com. He was recruited to build and market JustDeals.com and daily operational responsibilities. Steve's background is in Internet marketing and Web development in the Hollywood entertainment space.


Mike: Can you give a little background on alignment deals?


Steven: Thanks to Mike justdeals.com is a six month old - deal of the day - wholly owned subsidiary of surplus sourcing, Inc; an 18 year old distributor of consumer electronics. We have about 20 full-time employees including warehouse, customer service, finance, purchasing and administration.



Mike: You have a beautiful, brandable name with JustDeals.com.  Do you think another domain your point and could provide?  Other names that you consider moved there?  What were you looking for in a name?


Steven: The domain was purchased by a distressed company of going out of business over a year ago. The name says it all; It is what we do and what is our mission. We have other domain names in our bag used for other sites, do we as branches grows it to start JustDeals.com. We currently have sites that other products outside the male demographics are driven.



Mike: Can you give notices of special offers that might be available in the coming days or weeks?


Steven: That would spoil the surprise back every day driving our registered users to our website. But for you Mike, we offer a portable projector and a brand digital camera for under $10 a week.


Mike: Can you share the volume of traffic that gets your website?


Steven: We are experiencing tremendous growth because of the viral nature of our products and is most important to our prices. We have seen thousands of Tweets pass through the announcement of our offers for us followers and not followers. We are approximately 300 to 350 K uniques per month see. Impressions triple that number.


Mike: Do you have any other online marketing strategies you follow?


Steven: All above are important and must work together at the same time. The day sites have additional challenges with SEM - due to the sometimes latency in important work reproduction. Social media when running in a strategic way (by professionals) can drive your business.


Mike: Any advice for Start-Ups, small businesses or companies of all sizes for that matter on the choice of the correct domain name?


Steven: Of course consider the key word impact in your intended name on the search indexes research. See the names in all media; Print business cards, email signatures. What are the retention factors, etc..
